Our 6 night adventure in detail.
Day 1 Sunday.
Relax in your air conditioned private transfer and take in the wonderful views as you are driven from San Jose International airport to your hotel on the stunning Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Or Choose a really quiet mountain retreat as an option for a few nights then head down to a beach front hotel in Jaco for the rest of your stay
Day 2 Monday.
Start the day with a beautiful breakfast, then come and meet your equine partner and enjoy your first trail ride of the week.
We head up! into the heart of the farm Discovery calls home for the Birds Eye View. Riding with you horse to the top of the farm for a breathtaking view of it all. Cararra National park will surround you while you sit and enjoy a break sipping tea and enjoying the local watermelon.
After a healthy and filling lunch we whisk you away to a favorite tour, the crocodile and bird watching boat trip. See an incredible 18ft croc from the safety of your boat while the captain guides you up the beautiful Tarrcoles river.
See an incredible array of wild birds, and other Costa Rican animals on this unique and unforgettable afternoon set in the most beautiful of scenery.
Day 3 Tuesday.
After a hearty breakfast we will take some time on the farm to learn more about horses. Afterwards we tack up and ride through local farms and the town of Bijagual to a restaurant for lunch. While you wait for your meal take a little boat ride on the lake. Then it’s a ride back to the farm where we can relax a moment before you go back to the hotel for your bucket list adventure, choose from mastering the art of surfing, to whizzing through the tree's on a zip line. If you want to take it a little slower you can opt to stretch it out in a yoga class or rest and relax for a massage. A firm favorite is taking a liberty lesson to form a magical connection with your horse. The choice is yours
Day 4 Wednesday.
Time for a horse free day, with a visit to a majestic national park or beautiful waterfalls. These places are like heaven on earth. Enjoy natural rainforest trails that will take your breath away. Swim in waterfalls or immerse yourself completely in the bio diversity of Costa Rica in a National Park instead.
Day 5 Thursday.
After breakfast…….Anyone up for a full day of playing with horses in Connecting with Caballos? if not the trails are waiting, for a casual ride through the forset trails. Quite honestly, nothing compares to this! Connecting to and bonding with horses! Fun with horses will be sure to please. A once in a lifetime moment. Following a leisurely lunch we will take you back to your hotel where you will get to enjoy some well earned beach time. Relax in the hammock, read your book and maybe take a leisure walk.
Day 6 Friday.
Following breakfast, we will head out on the farm to the river for the Jungle spa tour! here you will luxuriate in a volcanic clay scrub; your skin will feel incredible.
Replenish with a tasty lunch and a surprise sunset trip with Rod and Shawna (horse free) to round off your vacation of a lifetime.
Day 7 Saturday.

Pricing for a 6 night vacation is $2900 or 4 nights for $2000 including all taxes. Please contact us for more information.
This price includes all transfers to and from the airport, to the ranch and back each day, 6 or 4 nights accommodation based on double occupancy.
Price also includes breakfast, and a hearty local lunch (evening meals are not included but lovely restaurants are located within a very short walking distance from your hotel or cook for yourself in our mountain retreat, delivery options avail). Also included are all trail rides (all rides are between 2.5 and 3 hours approx) and additional local tours. Prices, DO NOT include flights from your destination country or meals on travel days.
